An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of a Band 7 Lead Radiographer for 22.5 hours per week, to join the imaging team at Victoria Hospital Wimborne, one of Dorset HealthCare University Foundation Trust’s (DHUFT) radiology sites.
This is a new role and the job description gives comprehensive detail of the duties involved. Training will also be offered where necessary in order to develop the successful individual. (The job plan can be viewed upon request/informal visit).
The department is committed to promoting radiographer advanced practice and there is therefore the opportunity to study as a reporting radiographer to support the reporting of plain imaging for GP, MIU and OP referrals. Currently the radiology department at Victoria Hospital performs circa 1,200 digital X-Ray examinations per month in a modern community hospital environment.
This is an exciting but demanding role which will require a motivated, high calibre radiographer to lead and develop the service. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, effective communication and adaptability to meet the challenges encountered in a busy general environment.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
Interviews will be held week commencing 21st May 2018.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
