The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to provide both clinical and managerial support to the Department manager and Endoscopy team.
The successful candidate’s main base will be Wimborne hospital, although they may be required to work/support at other sites in Dorset.
The Wimborne Endoscopy unit is JAG accredited and high standards are maintained.
This post would suit an experienced endoscopy nurse who has had worked in the acute setting. Management experience would be of benefit.
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and documentation skills, and be confident and ready to progress in their career. The applicant should be able to demonstrate that they have progressed in their current role and have challenged themselves to take on extended nursing roles.
The post-holder will provide a clear focus for clinical leadership across the department, ensuring that the service is delivered to the highest standards. They will work in close partnership with colleagues to ensure that the Unit is compliant with JAG requirements. They will be actively involved in audit programmes as specified by JAG to enable reflection on practice and plan for future service developments
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
