Based in Wimborne, Dorset we are a busy, friendly hospital offering a wide range of services including; day surgery, out-patient, minor injuries, as well as a 22 bedded ward.

There are plenty of opportunities to retain or upskill your acute clinical experience, focused on acute admission avoidance we look after a range of patients with complex needs and discharge plans.

We are looking to recruit motivated and driven experienced nurses who have a passion for their role and improving patient care. An exciting opportunity has become available for Staff Nurses to work on Hanham Ward, based at Victoria Hospital, Wimborne. We are a 22 bedded nurse led unit providing rehabilitation to frail and elderly people, promoting their independence in a supervised, safe environment prior to their Discharge. We have also recently opened Palliative care beds for patients in the last weeks of life providing end of life care through Gold standards Frame work.

You will be highly motivated and innovative, working with a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team to ensure that the patient’s rehabilitation journey is individualised, goal orientated and are achieved by the patients to reach their optimum level to return to their own home or suitable placement sourced.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
