Victoria Hospital, Wimborne is recruiting for a Hotel Services Manager to work full time as part of the Trust Facilities team.

The successful candidate will need to ensure the Trust and department standards are followed, and that compliance is met and maintained at all times. the post holder will be responsible for line management of staff under their remit, and this will include ensuring all training needs are addressed and dealing with any HR concerns as they arise.

The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in hospital Cleaning, Catering  and Portering service and have an understanding and awareness of Infection Prevention Control processes.

The applicant should demonstrate a clear understanding of how to manager a team.

The role will be  looking after the Cleaning, Catering and Portering service at Wimborne community hospital, also being reasonable for the domestic services of St Leonards Hospital and Acorns building on the St Leonards site. Looking after a team of 23 staff over both sites, dealing with all contract and site issues under your control.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Hotel Service Team to support and deliver an excellent service within the community Hospital.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.

The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
