Wimborne Community Mental Health Team is based at Oakley Bungalow and provides services in both urban and rural areas. Treatments provided by the nursing team are informed by evidence based approaches including DBT, dual diagnosis strategies, psychosocial intervention and non-medical prescribing.  The post will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their skills in these areas by serving this diverse population.

The Team has moved to recovery orientated care pathways as a model of delivery; with this aim in mind the team are developing innovative projects in partnership with Service User representatives to enhance recovery focussed practice.

This post is open to qualified RMNs who have completed their initial post qualification preceptorship and will take up the challenge of maintaining therapeutic practices within one to one clinical interventions, whilst striving to work with the multi-disciplinary team towards shared priorities.

Working full-time (37.5 hours; Monday to Friday) the successful candidate will have some experience of working in partnership with people with serious mental health problems, their families and carers. You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
