We are currently looking to recruit for a Specialty Grade doctor in General Adult Psychiatry. This is to work on our Linden Unit which is an acute inpatient unit in Weymouth, and also with the Crisis and Home Treatment team for the west of Dorset.

This post holder will work with one consultant to provide acute psychiatric care on an inpatient unit and with a home treatment team while also working closely and co-operatively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The main responsibility of the successful applicant will be providing assessment, treatment and care planning for patients admitted to the ward, under the supervision of the Consultant psychiatrist.

As well as working with a well established and experienced team Dorset also offers extremely attractive living and we actively encourage interested applicants to contact the Trust to gain more information about the post and to arrange a visit to the service and area.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your salary payments. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service or are able to present a valid portable DBS certificate will not incur a charge.

Date of interview to be confirmed.
