Community Nurses in Purbeck are proud of being caring, competent and compassionate, with patients at the heart of what we do. We aim to provide high quality, safe services which improve the health, wellbeing and independence of the people we serve.

As a locality we are working towards a Community Hub with integrated working and we are exploring the Buurtzorg model of community nursing, with team self-management and holistic patient care.

We are seeking motivated nurses who are able to demonstrate a real passion for community nursing, as well as an aspiration for on-going professional development and behaviours that underpin our trust vision for nursing.

We would welcome applications from  experienced and newly qualified nurses  as we believe that careers should be developed; ideas listened to, skills and successes valued and recognised.

You can expect excellent training and opportunities for development, clinical supervision, and yearly appraisal. Dorset Healthcare also offers development and leadership pathways and a comprehensive preceptorship program for those who are newly qualified.

In return we can also offer you:

  • Dedicated career pathways and great opportunities for continuing professional development
  • An excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses and the chance to further your career in a nurse led environment
