Based in Swanage in Dorset we are a busy, friendly hospital offering a wide range of services including; day surgery, out-patient, minor injuries, as well as a 15 bedded ward. There are plenty of opportunities to retain or upskill your acute clinical experience, focused on acute admission avoidance we look after a range of patients with complex needs and discharge plans.
With a supportive League of Friends, passionate about their local hospital, we have a generous training budget and an assigned bursary for staff training as we strive to be better every day.
We have won national recognition for treating dying patients with dignity and compassion. The Stanley Purser Ward at Swanage has achieved accreditation in the Gold Standard Framework (GSF) for end-of-life care, confirming Dorset HealthCare as one of the country’s leading NHS trusts in this field of work.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
