Band 6 Senior Staff Nurses needed for the Yeatman Community Hospital.

A very exciting and pioneering role has been developed by Dorset HealthCare through our Advance Practice Framework.

This role will enhance clinical practice and create new and innovative ways of working within our Community Hospitals.

This is a Specialist role for band 6 Nurses seeking opportunities for professional development in clinical practice.

You will need enthusiasm and a commitment to provide the highest standards of care to patients, relatives and carers, and the ability to provide professional clinical leadership.

You will need to have an interest in working with older people and have good communication and organisational skills.

This new role forms part of a dedicated career pathway requiring the undertaking of:

  • History Taking & Physical Examination (HAPE) for year one
  • Non-Medical Prescribing for year two, at Masters level with Bournemouth University.

Evidence of recent higher education study desirable.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.  This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
