Would you like to develop your musculoskeletal skills whilst working in the pretty hilltop town of Shaftesbury, Dorset? We currently have a Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist vacancy at Shaftesbury hospital for 26 hours per week for a 6 month period. There will be opportunity to complete Bank physiotherapy work across Dorset Health Care University Foundation Trust.

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our friendly outpatient physiotherapy teams. We have well-equipped departments with close links with local acute hospitals and specialist extended scope practitioners across the trust.

We see patients with a wide range of conditions from post-operative musculoskeletal, sports injuries, peripheral nerve injuries and tendinopathies, with the option of referring patients into our lower limb and spine exercise classes.

If you are an experienced Band 5 or Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist we would like to hear from you. We can offer career-development opportunities, with links to Bournemouth University. You should have a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HPC. This post requires strong musculoskeletal clinical skills and post registration experience in order to perform effective assessment and treatment of a large and varied outpatient caseload.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic therapist to effectively contribute to the on-going development of our service. You should be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to contribute to our departmental supervision and training.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
