Dorset HealthCare have an exciting and rare opportunity to recruit a Clinical systems apprentice within the Systems Service Desk as part of the IM&T Department at Dorset Healthcare. The team provides a single point of contact for staff in the use of a number of its systems, including the main clinical systems, RiO and SystmOne.

The team is based at Sentinel House in Poole and has grown over the last 18 months and this position is available due to an internal promotion.

The environment is busy, positive and supportive and we are looking for an excellent communicator with the ability to understand and support IT software systems. If you are a self-motivated problem solver with a desire to provide a great service then we would like to hear from you. If required, training will be provided for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will complete an Advanced Business Administration apprenticeship with an IT focus alongside the role.

This position is for 37.5 hours per week and the working pattern will need to be flexible in order to meet the needs of the Trust.

Entry Requirements: You will need to have a minimum of Mathematics GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) and will need to demonstrate an interest in Business and Administration. You are eligible to apply for this post if you are living in England and are not taking part in full-time education, you are 16 or over and do not hold a Level 4 or higher qualification in the same area. Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust will provide: A dedicated mentor to support you through your apprenticeship, providing support and advice within the workplace, as well as helping you manage the balance of work and apprenticeship studies.

You will have the opportunity to develop personally and professionally and will be encouraged to attend our in-house training courses and shadow colleagues from other services. There may be further opportunities depending on your interests and strengths.
