At Dorset HealthCare new colleagues can look forward to a future rich with opportunities. You will be working alongside high calibre teams focusing on providing the best services to our patients and staff.

Dorset HealthCare is at the beginning of a substantial programme of development to meet the changing needs of our local health economy. We are a dynamic forward-thinking Trust operating throughout Dorset. Running 15 local hospitals, we provide a wide range of integrated community and mental health services to a population of almost 700,000 people.

Whether working in busy urban locations such as Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth or serving residents in rural areas, our 5,000-strong workforce is at the heart of what we do. Staff thrive in the positive atmosphere and relish the chance to provide quality care. Some of our services are rated outstanding by the CQC, and we constantly strive to improve in all aspects of our work.

Providing senior leadership to the Finance Directorate, the Deputy Director of Finance will be responsible for a high performing team, planning the Trust’s financial strategy, and maintaining the integrity of the Trust’s financial reporting. This will include delivering timely and accurate financial information to support the decision making processes of the Board of Directors, the Council of Governors, and Operational Management.

The role will contribute significantly to all aspects of the corporate financial management of the Trust. In addition to statutory and management responsibilities, the post assumes a prominent role in corporate development initiatives, negotiations with commissioners, and in dealings with NHS Improvement.

We are looking for an accomplished leader with a demonstrable track record of steering the financial agenda and maintaining sustainable financial performance. Relevant senior financial management experience in complex and dynamic healthcare organisations would be an advantage to help drive financial success in this challenging, complex and dynamic environment.

This position is very important to our success. We welcome those that are ambitious, and are excited at the prospect of playing a vital role in our future development. From us, you can expect considerable responsibility, a commitment to your personal development, and strong recognition for your achievements.

Interviews will take place on the 16th and 17th January 2018
