An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dynamic Mental Health Practitioner in the CAMHS OOH Team.

This post presents an exciting opportunity to assess and work alongside young people who may present in an acute general hospital setting with a mental health problem, self harm or in a psychiatric crisis; as well as supporting the families/carers and making recommendations relating to programmes of care.

The service also supports young people who are in a mental health crisis and call via telephone for support

The service operates between 17:00-01:00 7 days a week as well as 09.00-17.00 at weekends. The post is a full time (37.5 hrs per week) permanent vacancy and the post holder will be expected to work a variety of days and evenings.

You will be based at Pebble Lodge but will be part of a Pan Dorset Service covering Poole Hospital, Dorchester and Bournemouth Hospital.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
