An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Occupational Therapist to join the East Dorset Integrated Community Rehab Team. The Team is multi professional and covers both in patients and community patients, supporting with Early Discharges from hospital and Admission Avoidance thus preventing unnecessary Acute Hospital admissions.
You should be a committed, dynamic, motivated professional having good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your work and excellent communication skills.
You should have recent experience of working in a similar environment. Awareness of the effects of ill health and the ageing process and a basic level of IT literacy are an essential requirement.
The team is based within the East Dorset Locality; the post holder will need to have the ability to travel by car as they will be required to assess and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings, as well as the ward and clinics.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
