Dorset is renowned for its quality of living, picturesque countryside and its famous Jurassic Coastline. You could improve your quality of life by combining these benefits with working for a transformational organisation.
We require an experienced Physiotherapist to work within our Integrated Care Rehab Therapy Team based within the East Dorset Locality. The role is to provide Physiotherapy treatment to patients with acute illness to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital, facilitate complex discharges from hospitals and support patients with Long Term Conditions. Clinical expertise and good communication skills are required as well as excellent time management and prioritisation skills to provide care to these groups of patients living within their own home. The Team also manages the rehabilitation needs of the patients within the two local community hospitals.
The post is currently based at St Leonard’s Hospital and will be moving but remain in the locality. The service operates 365 days a year 08.00-20.00, this will include some weekend working as per rota. There is also a need to use your car to visit patients in their own homes.
You will receive support, regular supervision and annual appraisal as well as training opportunities, and there will be formal trust and local induction. You will have responsibility of supervising your colleagues and less experienced staff, and supporting the team leaders in developing the service and ensuring quality assessments and treatments.
If you enjoy working in a multi-professional team in a fast-paced service, making autonomous decisions about patient care then please apply.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
