The Trust Bank Team is a friendly, dedicated group of staff based at Sentinel House, Poole. It aims to ensure that wards, departments and community teams across the Trust are always properly staffed, by providing a pool of ‘Bank’ workers to call on who want extra shifts or temporary work.
Who are Bank workers?
Bank workers can work flexibly to fill a temporary vacancy or short-term staffing shortages. They may be required to work at any time, with just a few days’ – or hours’ – notice.
Bank working could be your main way of working or a secondary role - we have hundreds of Bank workers who have substantive posts within Dorset HealthCare services, too.
And you don’t have to stick to the same kind of work as your current role or previous jobs. It’s a chance to experience new environments and broaden your career options.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service or are able to present a valid portable DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You will be required to undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course and it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course; if this is not achieved you will not be able to commence working in the post.
Interviews will be held 21 March 2018.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
