We are currently looking to recruit a Peripatetic Consultant Psychiatrist.

This post is full-time working across General Adult and Older Persons Mental Health Services for the Trust. The postholder's responsibilities will vary according to organisational and service need but may involve managing patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. A job plan will be agreed with the Lead Consultant and/or Medical Director and will be reviewed as required to service needs. The postholder will take part in multidisciplinary case conferences and reviews as required by the clients’ clinical needs and the Trusts operational policies.

The post holder must be on or be eligible for inclusion on the specialist register for either general adult or old age psychiatry.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
