We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward thinking, team player to join our friendly, supportive team of speech and language therapists in beautiful rural Dorset.

The position, which is fixed term maternity cover until the end of May 2019, will be based in Dorchester, and would equally suit an experienced Band 5 therapist seeking to gain experience and competencies at Band 6, or an experienced Band 6 therapist.

The post holder will provide a specialist service to pre-school and school aged children in Dorchester, which will include sessions in clinic and schools, including some specialist provision for children with Complex Communication Needs.

The successful applicant will have access to the support and facilities of Dorset HealthCare NHS University Foundation NHS Trust and the Pan Dorset Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team. Management and supervision is provided.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.  This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.

Interview Date: 20 June 2018
