An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Physiotherapist to work within the Dorchester Integrated Community Rehabilitation team for 37.5 hours per week on a secondment/fixed-term basis until 05.11.18.

The multi-disciplinary team works in the community providing physical rehabilitation and intermediate care within patient's own homes across Dorchester town and the rural surrounding areas. The post holder will be required to autonomously assess and treat a range of presenting conditions in a holistic way and work alongside other health and social care colleagues to promote independence, health and well-being.

The post holder will be required to drive to rural locations and manage their own caseload without direct supervision.

The post holder will need to work flexibly in the team rota across 7 days to cover weekends and bank holidays. There is also the expectancy to assist in covering the duty rota during the week.

The post holder will need to work very closely with the rest of the team, District Nurses, Community Matrons, GPs, Mental Health teams and many more as part of the Mid Dorset Integrated Hub to provide timely and appropriate care closer to home.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.  This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.  Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
