An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join the Dorchester Integrated Community Rehabilitation Team. The Team is multi-professional and provides rehabilitation to community patients, supporting with early discharges from hospital and admission avoidance.
You should be a committed, dynamic, motivated professional having good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise your work and excellent communication skills.
You should have recent experience of working in a similar environment. Awareness of the effects of ill health and the ageing process and a basic level of IT literacy are an essential requirement.
The team is based at Dorchester Local Office in Wareham, and provides therapy in Dorchester town and the surrounding rural areas; you will need to have the ability to travel by car as well.
As a key member of the team you will find the experience challenging, rewarding and varied.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service or are able to present a valid portable DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
