Dorset Healthcare University Foundation Trust is seeking a self-motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Building Maintenance Supervisor to join their forward thinking Maintenance Team.

The Building Team deliver a high quality repair service together with pre-planned maintenance works to a variety of Trust premises including Community Hospitals, Mental Health Units, Health Centres and Administrative Buildings located throughout Dorset.

The role will operate from two sites, one each in West and East Dorset.

The successful applicant will need to effectively manage a small team of multi-skilled tradespeople in a friendly and busy environment; have a strong building and maintenance background; good IT skills (Word, Outlook) and be comfortable using a building maintenance software programme. A full driving licence will be needed. A vehicle will be provide for work use only.

Specialist training will be provided for managing asbestos, working at height, confined spaces working, lock/window repairs and repairs to sheet flooring. Successful completion of the required training will attract additional payments of up to £2,600 pa.

Working hours will be 08:00-16:00. Commencing holiday entitlement 27 days pa, plus public holidays. Pending pay award, NHS Pension included. Transport and workwear is provided.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  The DBS levies a charge of £26 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.  This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
