Are you an enthusiastic, forward thinking learning disabilities nurse who can adapt to changing priorities and deliver high quality nursing care? The Learning Disability Service in Dorset is staffed by a passionate and dedicated team and is looking for a like-minded nurse to join us. This is an excellent opportunity to practice within the challenging yet rewarding field of learning disability nursing.

Working part time (22.5 hrs per week) the successful candidate will be experienced in working in partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and supporting them to live successfully in the community. You will be committed to improving outcomes for our service users and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The West Dorset Integrated Community Learning Disabilities Team provides services in both urban and rural areas and will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their skills by serving this diverse population. Covering the Bridport and Dorchester areas, the post holder will be mainly based at the office in Bridport Hospital but may be required to work across sites if a specific need arises.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
