Bridport Community Hospital is located on the outskirts of Bridport.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant to support our services at this friendly and caring Hospital.

The main duties of a hospital Domestic Assistant include daily cleaning of outpatient areas, main corridors and ward based areas.

With plenty of 'in-house' training your duties will include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning toilets and emptying waste bins.

Using a range of cleaning equipment you will be expected to work independently throughout your duties to maintain the high cleaning standards that are expected within the hospital.

Please note that Hospital cleaning staff cover a wide range of duties within their role but are not expected to clean up bodily fluids such as vomit or blood although cleaning toilets is within the role of a hospital domestic - this is often a concern for some applicants and I feel it is worth mentioning it within our advert to reassure applicants on this issue.

Currently the hours of work for this vacancy is 13.30-19.45 Monday - Friday inclusive; there would also be an opportunity to work extra hours to cover staff leave as you are available.
