The Leg Ulcer Service has a vacancy for a Leg Ulcer Nurse Co-ordinator for 24.5 hours per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Leg Ulcer Service as it expands across Dorset. The role will be based in Bournemouth and will cover Bournemouth and Poole localities and their surrounding areas. The post holder will support Specialist Leg Ulcer clinics and undertake leg ulcer assessments within Patient homes, Community hospitals and Nursing homes.
The role also includes supporting leg ulcer staff within clinics and supporting the Leg Ulcer Educational programme. Teaching experience would be beneficial.
Support and extensive training will be given by the Leg Ulcer Service. There will also be an opportunity to work additional hours with the service on a bank agreement.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
