Are you a qualified nurse?
Do you want to make a difference to Children and Families in Dorset?
We are looking to appoint a Band 5 Registered Nurse to fill the School Health Staff Nurse post in the South East of Dorset (Bournemouth). This position is to work between 23 to 37.5 hours per week term time only and is offered for a fixed term basis of one year.
The service is committed to delivering high quality care to children, young people and their families.
As a School Health Staff Nurse you will have your own caseload and report to a Band 6 Specialist Practitioner in School Nursing. You will also support other team members within your own team and participate in the School Nursing Service Core programme, underpinned by the Healthy Child Programme. You will work in partnership with the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Childrens Services, Schools, Families and other agencies.
You will be required to work closely with neighbouring School Nursing teams in Dorset, to provide services in response to identified needs.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
Interviews will be held on the 7th February 2018.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
