Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (DHC) highly values the contribution that the School Nursing Service makes to the public health of children, young people and their families. We are committed to improving child health outcomes using evidence-based, early intervention strategies.
We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated School Health Nursery Nurse to join our School Nursing Team in Bournemouth. The post will be based in North Bournemouth. The successful applicant will participate in the delivery of the School Nursing Service core programme, as underpinned by the Healthy Child Programme.
- This position is offered as a permanent role on a term time only basis, working full time (37.5 hours per week) during this period.
The successful applicant will support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme for school aged children and their families under the supervision of the Band 6 Team Co-ordinator and will promote the health and wellbeing of the school age population and their families, working predominantly with the 4 to 11 age group.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
