But we know there’s more to do to ensure our staff can stay well and provide the best possible care for the people of Dorset.

We’re looking for an experienced Occupational Health Physician to help in taking the occupational health service to the next level. As well as supporting over 5,000 dedicated Trust staff, we also provide occupational health services to 140 other organisations, generating a turnover of over £700,000.

This post will be based in the largest occupational health service in the beautiful county of Dorset. Based in Bournemouth and/or Dorchester, you will have the clinical expertise to support the service in going from strength to strength.

A qualified Physician with Membership of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM) your knowledge of relevant legislation, evidence-based practice and guidance will be excellent. You should have a broad range of occupational medical experience and possess or be willing to obtain qualifications in HAVS as well as HSE Appointed Doctor status in IRR, Lead and Asbestos to deliver a range of occupational medical services to our wide customer base.

Employment in this post requires a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.

Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
