We are currently looking to recruit a Specialty Grade Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry working in Bournemouth. You will work full time within the Bournemouth West Locality Community Mental Health Team which provides comprehensive community based services to patients registered with general practitioners within Bournemouth.

This post holder will work predominantly within the Hahnemann sector alongside a full-time consultant colleague.

The main responsibility of the successful applicant will be providing assessment and ongoing care for patients within the Sector. Close working relationships with primary care are essential for the provision of high quality psychiatric services.  The post holder and team will work closely with primary care colleagues so that patients have easy access to specialist mental healthcare when needed.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service or are able to present a valid portable DBS certificate will not incur a charge.

As well as working with a well-established and experienced team Bournemouth also offers extremely attractive living and we actively encourage interested applicants to contact Nathan Hanney, Service Manager Tel 01202 584440 for more information and to arrange informal visits to the service.
