Are you a Registered Mental Nurse/Occupational Therapist (Mental Health)/Social Worker (Mental Health) who would like to play a lead role in ensuring the successful delivery of a NICE concordant Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIS) based in Bournemouth and covering the beautiful county of Dorset?

The EIS is a multidisciplinary community team and  covers a mixture of urban and rural areas across Dorset and manages issues that reflect the needs of those of our local population who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

With close working links with the local Community Mental Health Teams, as well as the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and the charity Rethink, we have established a substantial caseload of patients between the ages of 14 and 65.

With relevant experience in a community mental health setting, suitable candidates will be highly motivated and interested in promoting the recovery of young and older adults and have the ability to actively engage with people and maintain therapeutic relationships in order to meet their social, psychological and family needs. The successful candidate will carry their own individual caseload of people with first episode psychosis

If you are interested in working in one of the most beautiful parts of the country we also offer a generous relocation package of up to £5,000 – please email

In return we can offer you:

  • Dedicated career pathways and great opportunities for continuing professional development
  • You will receive a comprehensive and structured induction programme and training.
  • NHS holiday & pension scheme
  • NHS discount and salary sacrifice scheme
  • Not forgetting our unique selling point – our Trust beach huts located along the famous Sandbanks coastline.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
