We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking, team player to join our friendly team of speech and language therapists in Bournemouth.
The post will be predominately based at the Family Resource Centre, Kinson and includes delivery of Education Commissioned Communication Plans. Flexibility across the area will be required to meet the needs of the service users.
The post holder will be expected to provide support to the Cluster Lead by having full oversight of a locality caseload including leading and liaising with SLT and SLTA colleagues to ensure case management lists, waiting times and discharges are managed within service standards and processes. The post holder will also be expected to undertake assessments as part of the Multi-Professional Diagnostic process for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The post-holder will have access to the support and facilities of Dorset HealthCare NHS University Foundation NHS Trust and the Pan Dorset Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team. Management and supervision is provided by Band 7 therapists.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
