The Dorset Bladder and Bowel Continence Service provides specialist continence advice to adults and children registered with Dorset GP practices.
We are a small friendly team with office bases in Dorchester and Boscombe.
We are passionate about promoting continence wherever possible,and providing effective management options where independent continence is not possible.
A vacancy has arisen within the Boscombe office based at Shelley Road.
As a continence nurse advisor you will be expected to manage your own caseload to provide the best possible outcomes for clients with bladder and bowel symptoms. We hold regular clinics at various sites throughout Dorset.
The applicant must hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel between sites.
The Dorset Bladder and Bowel continence Service is responsible for providing educational packages to trust staff as well as other local care providers.This will be part of the role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse with a strong interest in continence issues and well developed organisational skills to join us.
Community based experience is desirable but not essential.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments. This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
Full training will be provided for specialist areas of care and you will be given the opportunity to develop your role as appropriate.
Interviews will be held 4th May 2018.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
