Would you like to make a difference and play a part in improving the lives of children and young people with mental health problems, and their families in Dorset?

We are offering a part time (30 hours per week) 12 month fixed term post within the North Dorset CAMHS teams for a dedicated professional, working as part of the CAMHS senior leadership team to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and services to our patients. We are looking for an inspirational Team Leader to support the Clinical Service Manager and senior clinical team to ensure effective, evidence based assessment and treatment, accessible care pathways and a culture of continuous quality improvements are embedded in the team.

We are looking for a professional who shares our values and our passion to make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families as well as someone who can work as part of a team, bring enthusiasm and is innovative in their clinical practice and leadership style.

This post presents an exciting opportunity to influence the way that CAMHS services are delivered. You will be expected to be able to provide line management and supervision for members of the multi-disciplinary team. You will work as part of a senior management team who oversee a range of evidence based treatments, manage waiting lists and job plans to ensure the delivery of short and longer term work for children and families.

With demonstrable experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team you will hold a post graduate degree level qualification or equivalent in one of the following professions: Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Psychology or Occupational Therapist, as well as current registration with an appropriate professional body such as NMC, HCPC, UKCP.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Band 6 clinician with previous experience of working with young people and their families to further develop their career or a current Band 7 clinician who would like to expand their skills in a service which is innovative and transformational.

Employment in this post requires a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  The DBS levies a charge of £44 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.  This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
